    • How do you book your stunning bespoke wedding cake?

      Let me guide you...

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, by the time you have booked a few suppliers it can all blend into one! Let me take the stress out of the wedding cake for you...

First we will meet for a consultation where we can sit down comfortably to chat all the details of your big day. I will take down all the details I need, from your venue (a fairly essential bit of info!), to your florist and photographer. Then we will get onto the fun stuff - the cake! Together we will create a cake that is perfect for you both.

After the consultation I will draw up some quotes for you based upon the design we came up with and then we ask for a booking fee to secure your date. You can then book onto one of our complimentary indulgent sample days where we will arrange to deliver a box of our most popular flavours to you to enjoy in the comfort of your home - to share or to keep to yourselves! Once you are in the diary you can then relax, you have ticked the cake box and you don't need to worry about it again, you can enjoy planning the rest of the details.

6 weeks before the wedding we will have a catch up. At this point we can make any changes to the design, because sometimes things change and we don't believe in being rigid, and I will double check all the key information again. Then roll on the wedding!

On the day, again you don't need to worry about a thing. I am an absolute perfectionist, so whilst you are sipping champagne and calming your nerves, I will be at your venue, setting up your beautiful cake, ensuring it is displayed to show it off to all your guests and making it a true showpiece in the room. Because did I mention that stand hire is our gift to you?! From a simple elegant glass stand, to a full on cake swing, I have it all, and I want you to use it!

But the service doesn't just stop there! After the wedding, I will coordinate with your venue to collect any cake stands you have used so that you don't need to worry. And then, as a final flourish, I will send to you the beautiful hand drawn sketch of your cake in a stunning frame, a perfect memento to a perfect cake on your perfect day xxx

      How much will it be?

As the saying goes...how long is a piece of string?

Every cake is truly bespoke and designed for you, both in terms of the design itself but also budget. I always ask clients to be honest about budget, because I don't want to design a cake beyond your wildest dreams...but also beyond your wildest budget, but also equally, if you can afford something that bit 'more', then let me give you more!

Below is a guide of our starting prices for wedding cakes based upon size -

      1 tier from £100

      2 tier from £225

      3 tier from £350

      4 tier from £500

      5 tier from £675

But to give you an idea of what some things may cost, I have used some of our display cakes to give you pricing, because did I mention that I never recreate a wedding cake and never ever release details of price for your cake to anyone? No? Well it's true! Every cake is individual, never to be recreated, and completely confidential too!

      3 tier

The white 3 tier with the beaut dried pampas wreath is stunning and would come in at £350 for a 4/6/8 inch to feed 60.

The black 3 tier has a gorgeous oversized statement sugar flower and rose gold glitter. This would be mid range at £450 for a 4/6/8 inch to feed 60

      4 tier

The stunning rose gold 4 tier with the marble, copper leaf and statement flowers would be just £545 for a 4/6/8/10 inch to feed 100.

The pink and gold 4 tier would be a luxury cake at £795 for a 5/6/8/10 inch to feed 110.

      5 tier

This gorgeous richly coloured bohemian macramé cake would be £750 as a 4/6/8/10/12 inch feeding a generous 150.

This all white beauty has shimmer, shine and ruffles galore, coming in at £975 for a 4/6/8/10/13 inch feeding 165.

      The *really* big one...

For an 8 tier such as this with tonnes of real edible gold leaf, ornate mouldings, and hundreds of edible wafer petals, it would be £2500 and would feed over 600 if all cake. Tiers can be made using polystyrene 'dummy' cakes to give the look but without all the cake.

The balance must be paid in cleared monies no later than the date set out in the order confirmation by bank transfer to the account specified, cash or cheque. If paying by cheque please allow 5 working days for payment to clear. Late payments will incur a £25 charge.

If payment is not received by the date specified this shall be constituted as a breach of contract by the client. We reserve the right to hold the order until payment is made in full. When payment is late we accept no responsibility should we be unable to purchase the required stock or equipment to make the cake as laid out in the order confirmation. In these circumstances, the cake will be made as close to the order confirmation as possible with no redress or liability on Butterfingers Ltd.

Less than one calendar month prior to the date = full amount

Any payments previously made are not refundable.

In the event of a postponement, the payment due remains the same as a cancellation. Subject to availability we will carry the monies paid forward to the new wedding date. Please be aware that we will only do this on one occasion. Any further postponements will be classed as a cancellation.

You may, prior to 8 weeks before the wedding day, or 7 days for celebration cakes, amend or cancel your order by providing us with written notice. In the case of alterations, a new order confirmation will be issued detailing the changes and the new cost. Alterations are not confirmed until a new order confirmation has been issued. Should you make any changes after that time there will not be a reduction in the price you pay, even if your new design is cheaper than the original booking.

    Complaints –

Complaints are very rare and due to the amount of work put into each individual cake, we take them very seriously.

Both Parties agree to not post any negative information about the other arising out of this Contract or Event on any online forum or website without providing advance written notice of the intended content thereof and providing the other party with a prior opportunity to resolve any issues between the parties amicably.

Complaints regarding the decoration of celebration cake can be easily repaired so errors of this nature must be pointed out upon delivery/collection so as to give us the opportunity to correct them. Once payment has been handed over this confirms that decoration is as requested and no further claims can be made. Wedding cake clients will be sent a detailed sketch or quotation outlining the details of their wedding cake prior to the wedding. It is the client's responsibility to check that this meets with their requirements and raise any issues with us if there are any discrepancies.

Where the complaint is in regards to the quality of the cake, then the cake, or remainder of the cake/tier, must be returned to us as soon as possible after cutting and within 48 hours of collection/delivery to ensure that we are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint.

Please note we can only deal with the client who placed the original order.

    General Terms

All designs and intellectual property rights remain the property of Butterfingers Ltd.

We reserve the right to use images of your cake for any form of advertising including web-based promotions, brochures, galleries and competitions. It is advisable that you make a copy of all documentation received from Butterfingers Ltd for your own benefit.
